SUCCESFUL START TO WEF!
Wellington Equestrian Festival

‘Cian has had a great start to the WEF season in Wellington Florida. Fancy De Kergane and Maurice both placed 3rd in the WEF Challenge Cup during WEF one and WEF three. Fermoy placed 2nd in the 1.45m Jump of Class and 4th in the National Grand Prix in WEF two. Kilkenny jumped to 3rd place in the CSI3* 1.50m Jump Off Class and Eve D’Ouilly finished in 4th place in the 1.45m Jump Off Class. Maurice jumped two fantastic Clear Rounds under the lights in the CSI4* Grand Prix to place 5th and Highland President placed 4th in the CSI4* 1.50m Jump Off Class.’

‘WOW Trading’s 9yo Blackshaw jumped an a brilliant clear in WEF two’s $50k Grand Prix ridden by Kevin Gallagher to place 9th overall.’

HAY ‘How Are Ya’

‘Team Karlswood and Coolmore Showjumping was honoured to be a part of the wonderful video from Showjumping Ireland to support the campaign.

The Hay Campaign is designed to inspire a change in mindset in the equestrian and agricultural industries in Ireland on opening up about mental health.’

-Name and where are you from?
Johanna Berg, Svenljunga Sweden
-What is your role at Karlswood?
I am one of Cian’s main grooms.
-How did you begin your equestrian career?
I was brought up around horses and I have never grown out of it!
-When did you start at Karlswood?
I started in October 2018, so it will be coming up to 6 years!
-What are your hobbies?
I enjoy playing Polo in my spare time, and to relax I enjoy getting pedicures and celebrity stalking!
-What is your career highlight?
Taking care of Kilkenny and following his steps to the Tokyo Olympics where we placed 7th Individually with Cian, and of course getting to see Max begin his journey with him.
