Larkhill Cruiser kept up his consistency once again when clear in today's Grand Prix at Vejer de la Frontera. One of just 13 through to the jump off the pair were unfortunate in having an early draw so they had to go for it.
A very tight turn to the third last fence didn't pay off and the horse had it down to finish eventual 5th despite being over three seconds faster than the winner. Cian said afterwards,"I couldn't be happier with Joey, he has been amazing all tour. In the five ranking classes he jumped here he won two, was 2nd and 3rd and 5th, earning 210 Rolex World Ranking points which should take me to about 30th in the world rankings when they come out in two weeks time."
Cian will jump Splendor this Sunday in the 1.60m final Grand Prix where 100k in prize money is on offer.
Cian continued his great run of form when he placed 3rd in the 1m55 Grand Prix at Vejer de la Frontera today, this time partnering Splendor, his Olympia winner. The pair jumped two foot-perfect rounds, to place 3rd behind Julien Epaillard and Number One d'Iso, and William Funnell in second with Billy Congo.

In their last four starts on the Spanish Sunshine Tour, all of which were world ranking classes, the pair had two wins, a second and a third. They won a hotly contested class last Friday when a foot perfect speed round saw them come out on top.
Today in the Grand Prix they were again clear and were drawn midway in the jump off. Cian rode a smooth tight round that looked good enough to take the class until Guy Williams and the ground-eating Titus pipped them by 0.15 seconds.
Cian said afterwards, “It's so nice to have a horse like Larkhill Cruiser, who does the talking for me!! “
Trebox Accorada, a new 8yr old mare to Cian placed second in the 1m40 Two Phase last Friday. the same day Mark Kinsella was 2nd in the 1m40 with Waterboy. The Sunshine Tour continues for two more weeks.
