Cian's horses all aquitted themselves extremely well on the opening week of the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington Florida.
He started the week with a win aboard Everything, 8yr old Toulon gelding in 1.45m class on Thursday. Everything went on to jump double clear in Sunday's feature 1.50m class and placed fourth.
Blue Loyd (right) appreciates the big arena and jumped out of his skin all week. He was sixth in the opening 1.45, then finished second in the same class the following day.
In the feature class of the week, Saturday night's $30,000 Surpass Grand Prix, Blue Loyd and Cian were drawn first to go and jumped two superbly accurate rounds to place third. O'Connell Street was 2nd in a 1.40 class and finished 11th in Sunday’s 1.50 when having just one fence down.
Alligator Aly and Ballymore Eustace were both clear at m40 level during the week.Cian said "I'm thrilled how all the horses jumped this week. It’s the result of my super background team who took care of the horses over Christmas and New Year to have them in top shape for the start of circuit. It's great to be able to compete here and I look forward to the major Grands Prix as the circuit continues.
