Just in from a morning's work in the yard. I was delighted to be asked to appear on the Late Late Show on RTE last night with Pat Kenny. This was my first major television interview since the aftermath of the Athens Olympics. It was nice to be able to put all the facts on the table once more.
I must say I was overwhelmed by the audience reaction in the studio, and by the very positive feedback I received from so many people since my appearance. You can see the excerpt from the show HERE.
But meanwhile it's back to business here at Karlswood, and it's been somewhat of a hectic week organising the logistics to ship 21 horses to Spain. I, along with Mark Kinsella and several students, will be competing on the Spanish Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera for the next five weeks.
I have to say it's not as glamorous as it may sound, for the weather is sometimes dubious down there - though it can't be much worse than the weather in Ireland at present!
I will be riding five horses myself, Mark Kinsella will be riding five, and the remainder will be clients who I will be teaching. It's a great tour to get the horses fit - and the riders, too, of course!
Anyway, I will keep you posted as to our progress, so keep checking back on the website here for updates. And if you want to drop me a line while I'm abroad, just use the email address on the CONTACTS page.
